Getting Started
Tips
Create a quick link to the site on your phone’s home screen: when visiting contemplativewellness.com on your phone, click the share icon at the bottom of the screen, and select “Add to Home Screen”
Send PDFs to Kindle: whenever you have a PDF open, you can click on the share icon at the bottom of the screen and select “Kindle” or other linked devices/apps.
Still always self-paced
Thank you for joining Contemplative Cohort #1 (Co-hort 1). I'd like to start by assuring you that you still always set the pace of your participation.
Explore the areas on the site when it feels right for you. There are still no expectations or obligations on what you complete each week. That is the very mindset we want to untangle. This is to continue to explore and experience a different way this time.
Our inmost wisdom, our Lighter voice mentored by Wisdom herself, speaks to us in silence and whispers. This relationship will take patience and perseverance. Rushing this relationship or trying to control the process will only get us back to square one.
Appreciate that this is “enough” this time. Listen and let things unfold on their own from here.
How we got to “Co-hort 1”
Three months of community conversation formed our current model. Whenever we need a reminder of the shared intent for this co-hort, I encourage us to review these two documents that summarize what we heard as a community during our discernment.
How this model is financially sustained
By varies means of member contributions. This includes co-facilitating meetings, workshopping shared resources, and financial support to cover basic administrative costs. You are encouraged to review what is most aligned with your current season of circumstances as often as needed/wanted. Please view our Supporting & Continuing Our Work page for more details. You can also adjust your financial support at anytime in your “Account” settings. If we ever run into a financial constraint that limits an area we want to explore, I will bring that information to the group.
Private member areas of the site vs. public pages
Contemplativewellness.com consolidates both public pages that are visible to all audiences, as well as, private member pages. This is an important consideration when you “comment” on posts.
Accessing private pages (only visible to members of co-hort 1)
When logged in, you will see “Contemplative Cohort: 1” in the upper right navigation (on both desktop and mobile views).
A drop-down menu will become visible that indicates all the private pages with this member area. When you are on one of these pages, comments are only visible to peer members.
Accessing public pages (visible to all audiences)
Clicking on “Contemplative Wellness” in the upper left header you will be taken to the public facing pages.
You can also access these by navigating to the links in the footer at the bottom of each page.
Comments here will be visible to our “widening” audience; I hope this doesn’t discourage conversation here, just limit more sensitive sharing that you would keep for our community
